Women & Addiction: A Local Perspective

Janine Copeland (Provisional Psychologist, CCC, CCAC) holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge, and has been working in the fields of addiction and psychology for over thirteen years. Currently, she is working as the Program Director for Recovery Acres’ CARE for Women program, which just opened its doors in September 2016. Janine is an addictions specialist and has worked at several adult treatment centers in Canada. She also worked as an Addictions Counsellor in Thailand, and more recently served as the Clinical Director for the Alberta Adolescent Recovery Center (AARC). Janine has extensive experience working with clients in primary care treatment. In addition, Janine has designed and facilitated transformational workshops for individuals who have loved ones in active addiction.
